Hi, I’m Selina Hernandez, the artist behind Casa Sáadora.

Casa Sáadora is a creative studio that utilizes photography, painting, and creative partnerships to explore the concepts of vulnerability, identity, and growth. We aim to tell our stories, and those of our creative partners. We use a wide variety of creative materials (photography, acrylics, oils, oil crayons, colored pencils), to better express and understand the shapes and tones of our individual and professional journeys.

A little about me:

Born into a family of artists ham-strung by intergenerational trauma, I found an early calling: understanding and bearing witness to the resiliency of beauty. The way the light fell just so, the way the yellowed afternoon rays flitted through punctured air. How things marvelous and grand nuzzle their way into hidden corners and solitary spaces, bringing precious moments of hope, joy, despite the banging and the bashings of our small world gone cold. Today, this drive to capture and share what fills us with beauty, understanding, and connection is the heartbeat behind my creative voice.
